SOFAA were one of the sponsors of the Antiques Trade Gazette Conference "Prospering in the Downturn" held in Birmingham on the 24th. April.
The Chairman was very pleased to see so many SOFAA members at the Conference and also
to hear Guy Schooling, of Sworders, giving a fascinating account of the
trials and tribulations of building an ecologically sound saleroom on a
brownfield site.
He also spoke with a number of potential new member firms
and hopes that those who were unable to attend the conference will be
able to come to the SOFAA Dinner on 16th. June.
It is clear that the ATG are very keen to grow the
use of the live on line service and they have instigated "The ATG Media
Internet Auctioneer of the Year Award". Let's see if a SOFAA member can
win it!
